My stand mixer motor burned out mid-batch yesterday

I was making a double batch of brioche and the motor just gave up after 8 minutes of kneading. Had to finish mixing 6 pounds of dough by hand which took forever. Has anyone else had a KitchenAid fail on them this way or did I just get a lemon?

Probably overheated from a double batch, those motors aren't built like they used to be.

Blame the cheap bearings they're using now. Heat kills em fast.
