My 10-year cling wrap habit died after one cheap bowl cover set
I used to be that person buying a new box of cling wrap every single week, fighting with the roll sticking to itself and tearing in weird angles. Then my sister gave me a pack of silicone bowl covers for like 12 bucks at a Target in Columbus, and honestly I laughed at her. But after 3 weeks I realized I hadn't touched the plastic once. They stretch over mixing bowls, proofing buckets, even the weird half-cut avocado. The seal is way better than wrap too, so my dough doesn't dry out on the counter overnight. I still keep a roll for deep frying or weird shaped dishes, but that's maybe 1 box every 6 months now. Anyone else ditch cling wrap for the silicone stuff, or is this just my weird hill to die on?
