Just had the worst baking day of my career last Tuesday

Wow, okay, I gotta say, that sounds like a rough morning, no doubt. But is it really the worst day of your career? I mean, you're making sourdough and macarons, not performing open heart surgery. Flat bread and a dropped tray are frustrating, sure, but they're just ingredients you can buy again tomorrow. Take this with a grain of salt, but in my experience, calling it the "worst day" might be a little dramatic when nobody got hurt and you didn't lose your kitchen to a grease fire. Your mileage may vary, but maybe save that title for the day the oven actually explodes.
