Figured out my sourdough starter was too cold after three days of flat loaves

Actually, a cold starter can totally kill the rise in my experience.

Ugh that's rough, I feel you. Three days of sad flat loaves is like a punishment for trying to be patient with it lol.

Three days of flat loaves is a long time to figure that out. A cold starter usually just slows things down, it doesn't always kill the rise completely. Are you sure your starter is actually active and doubling in size before you use it? That's the real test, not just the temperature.
