That "almost cried" compliment is actually pretty telling. I bet your lemon bars hit some specific nostalgia button for them, like their grandma's recipe or something from childhood. Emotional food reactions usually mean you nailed a flavor memory they didn't even know they had. What kind of lemon bar recipe do you use, tart or super sweet?
