Took a gamble on a $25 timing light from Harbor Freight, and it actually held up

My fancy Snap-on one died mid-job on a 2006 Civic last Thursday, so I grabbed the cheap one just to finish. It got me through the whole timing belt replacement without skipping a beat. Anybody else had surprisingly good luck with their budget tools?

Sometimes you just get lucky haha. That Harbor Freight tool earned its spot in the box.

That $10 Pittsburgh socket set saved my ass last weekend. Pulled a stuck lug nut off a neighbor's van without cracking. Everyone talks trash on HF stuff until it works first try. Still using the same cheap multimeter I bought five years ago for $7. Sometimes you just hit the sweet spot on price vs reliability.
