Swapped from a regular breaker bar to a long-handle ratchet for stubborn lugs

Everyone at my shop said to just use a big breaker bar with a pipe on it. I tried that for years, but last month I bought a 24-inch long-handle flex-head ratchet. The extra length gave me the same force, but the ratchet head let me work in tight spots without moving the socket each time. I did a full set of tires on a truck in half the time. Why do we stick with the old way when a simple tool change helps so much?

Exactly. You see this with everything, not just tools. People get a method that works okay and just stop looking. My dad still uses a manual can opener when the electric one is right there in the drawer. It's like once the struggle becomes normal, you forget there might be an easier way.

What's the hardest thing to get him to upgrade?
