Spent 3 hours chasing a coolant leak that was just a loose hose clamp

I was working on my buddy's 2005 Civic last Saturday. Kept seeing a small puddle under the car after running it. Checked the water pump, the radiator, even pressure tested the system. Nothing. After three hours I finally noticed the lower radiator hose was twisted just enough that the clamp wasn't seating right. Took me 30 seconds to fix. Has anyone else wasted way too much time on something that simple?

Does it always gotta be the basic stuff that's the hardest though? I mean, @river190 probably knows what I'm talking about. Like wiring a simple outlet always gives me more trouble than some fancy smart switch. Idk maybe it's just me but the simple stuff always fights back.
