Rant: I was using the wrong size wrench on that one specific Ford caliper bolt for months

It finally clicked when I snapped a bolt head on a 2020 F-150 and had to drill it out, costing me two hours. Anyone else have a 'standard' size that just isn't on a common model?

Oh man, that "costing me two hours" part hits home. I did the exact same thing with the lower shock bolt on a bunch of older Silverados. I swore it was a 15mm for years until one just spun and stripped. Turns out it's a freaking 16mm, which I never even had out of my toolbox. Felt like such an idiot.

Remember my buddy swore the drain plug on his old Civic was a 17mm. He rounded two of them off before realizing it was actually a 16mm, just super worn down. That one wrong socket cost him a whole afternoon and a new oil pan.
