Question about impact sockets: chrome vs impact, is it really that serious?
Been turning wrenches for 7 years now. Always used impact sockets on everything, even hand ratchets. Then last month my coworker Dave used my chrome 10mm on his impact gun. Cracked right at the drive end. He just shrugged and said "that's why you don't do that." I thought it was overblown until I saw it. Now I get it. Has anyone else had a chrome socket fail on them, or am I just lucky it took this long?
