I tried using a generic O2 sensor on a 2018 Ford F-150 and the computer threw a fit for two days.
The truck's ECU kept reading a slow response code, so I had to swap it for the Motorcraft part, which cost me an extra $120 and a whole afternoon redoing the job, so what's your go-to source for reliable aftermarket sensors that won't cause these headaches?

My cousin's old Civic ate three cheap sensors before we learned.

Ugh, that's the universal sign you bought the wrong part. My go-to source is the return counter at the parts store after the first one fails. I've learned the hard way that some cars are just picky eaters, especially with O2 sensors. It's rarely worth the gamble to save forty bucks. Now I just bite the bullet and get the OEM part for anything that talks to the computer.
