Dropped $210 on a smoke machine and it found a leak in 20 minutes that I chased for a week
Bought one of those cheap EVAP smoke machines off Amazon for $210 after spending 6 hours over two days on a P0455 on a 2011 Silverado. Turned it on, pumped smoke in at the throttle body, and found a cracked intake gasket in about 20 minutes that I never would've caught with carb cleaner. I felt dumb and relieved at the same time. Anyone else using a smoke machine on non-EVAP stuff like vacuum leaks and exhaust, or am I overusing the thing now?
