My cat learned to flush the toilet last Tuesday and now my water bill is already up $15

I was watching TV around 11pm when I heard the toilet running again for the third time that night, went to check, and there was my dumb orange tabby reaching up and smacking the handle like he knew exactly what he was doing - has anyone else's pet accidentally discovered how to waste money?

Ha, my cat did basically the same thing but with the garbage disposal switch. I thought I was losing my mind for a week until I caught him jumping up and tapping it with his paw like he was summoning a demon. My water bill didn't go up but I sure spent a lot on new dishware because I kept forgetting to put the stopper in and stuff would just disappear down the drain. Now I keep a piece of tape over the switch because apparently my cat is smarter than me. Your orange tabby sounds like a real genius too, just the wrong kind of genius that costs money.

Wait, your cat was running up your water bill?? That's wild, I didn't even know cats could mess with something like a garbage disposal. How do they even figure that out, watching you use the switch all the time? I guess they're just little sponges for chaos, always watching and learning the wrong things. Hopefully that tape holds up better than my solution of just yelling at the cat.
