I used to think power yoga was just for showoffs
I avoided it for years, sticking to gentle flows instead. A friend dragged me to a class, and the focus on breath with movement really clicked for me. What's a solid power flow for someone who's still building strength?

Yeah, I totally get that. I felt the same way for a long time, like it was all about fancy poses. What really helped me build up was focusing on flows that link a strong core to leg work, like moving from chair pose to warrior III. It makes the strength part feel more grounded, you know?

I was watching a Sarah Beth Yoga video last week where she linked low lunge to half moon, holding each for five breaths. She talked about that same idea, how the core engagement from the lunge sets up the balance for the half moon. It made the whole thing feel less like a circus trick.

Actually, moving straight to warrior III might be a jump... starting with holds in crescent lunge builds similar strength without the balance struggle.
