Tried making a simple roux for mac and cheese and ended up with a chalky paste ball
I was at my mom's house in Cleveland last Sunday, and somehow I turned flour and butter into this stretchy, gross blob instead of a smooth sauce. I just microwaved some leftover pizza instead and called it a night. Anyone else ever get completely owned by a basic cooking step like this?
Wallpaper paste at least you can hang wallpaper with it. Roux that thick you could probably patch drywall with it. Least you got a good arm workout stirring it.
