My dad swore a potato peeler could sharpen scissors and I laughed at him until Tuesday
He told me to run the blades through a potato peeler about 10 times each side and I thought he was pulling my leg after years of dull kitchen shears. I tried it on a cheap peeler from the dollar store in Cleveland and now those scissors cut through denim like butter. Has anyone else had a weird household hack like this actually work or did I just get lucky?

Wait did you test if it wrecked the peeler after using it on the scissors? Cause I've got a couple beat up kitchen scissors and a cheap peeler I wouldn't mind sacrificing but I don't wanna ruin a good one just to try this out.

Used to think it'd ruin the blade but nah, totally changed my mind after trying it.
