Watching a virtual sunset with my dad who has trouble getting around

My dad has a hard time leaving the house, so I helped him use VR to meet me in a calm virtual spot. We talked by a fake lake and shared stories, and he told me it felt like a real visit. Do you see more people using VR to spend time with family who can't travel easily?

Yeah, but what about how our brains save these fake places as real memories? If my dad starts recalling the virtual lake like it was a real trip, does that change how he feels about actual visits? Or does it just give him more happy moments to look back on?

Used VR to chat with my aunt... it really helped.

Hearing your story about VR with your aunt really hits home. Honestly, it shows how tech can bridge gaps when we can't be there in person. For older relatives, especially, it might feel more real than a flat video call. They can share a virtual space, like sitting in the same room. That sense of being together can fight loneliness in a big way. We need more tools like this to keep families connected.
