Warning: That guy at the flea market selling "mint" records is lying to you
I was at the Rose Bowl Flea Market last Saturday and this older dude was selling a stack of 70s rock albums. He swore up and down they were "near mint" and wanted $25 each. I looked closer and saw serious scratches and even some mold on the inner sleeves. When I pointed it out, he just shrugged and said "they still play fine." I walked away and found the same records from a different seller for $8 that were actually clean. Has anyone else run into sellers who can't tell a VG from a NM?

looked more like it had been through a war" lol that's such a perfect way to put it. So what did the seller actually say when you messaged them about it? I'm always curious how people defend listing something as mint when it's clearly scratched to hell or has ring wear all over the cover. Did they try to argue or did they just ghost you? Sometimes I wonder if these sellers even look at the records before they ship them out.
