My uncle swore by the wooden toothpick trick for cleaning vinyl grooves
He said to gently run a round wooden toothpick along the record grooves to dislodge deep dirt before wet cleaning. I tried it on a dusty thrift store copy of Rumours and it actually pulled out a ton of gunk I couldn't see. Has anyone else tried this method or is there a better tool for deep groove cleaning?

Yeah, I feel you on that one... my cleaning setup is getting out of hand too. I started with just a brush and some distilled water, and now I've got a whole little station in the corner of my living room with a spin cleaner and different solutions. The toothpick thing sounds kinda wild but I'm curious now, especially for those thrift store finds that look clean but sound like they've been through a war.

Oh great, now I gotta add "oral hygiene tools for records" to my cleaning kit right next to the microfiber cloths and distilled water. Pretty soon I'll be flossing my wax every night before bed.
