Guy at the flea market swore a $3 copy of 'Whipped Cream and Other Delights' would be worth a fortune someday
I dropped ten bucks on that record because he had this wild story about a collector paying $500 for a mint copy, but when I looked it up later it's literally one of the most common vinyls out there and now it's just sitting on my shelf as a reminder not to trust random dudes with beards and gold teeth.

Holy crap, a guy with gold teeth gave you financial advice on vinyl? That's a whole new level of trusting a random flea market oracle. I'm picturing him leaning in real close, gold tooth glinting in the sun, whispering about a $500 payday and you just handed over a ten like it was nothing. That's rough, buddy. At least you got a funny story out of it, and the record itself is actually pretty entertaining if you ever throw a weird party with friends. Just don't expect to retire off that sleeve, lol.
