Vent: My SNES cart slot ate a Game Genie and I had to pry it out with tweezers
So yesterday I tried to stack my Game Genie with Super Mario World to test if it still worked, and the thing got stuck so bad I thought I broke the console. Took me 20 minutes of wiggling and using metal tweezers to fish it out, but now the cart slot feels looser than before. Any tips for tightening those pins without replacing the whole connector?

Actually, that loose slot might be a blessing in disguise. Those tight OEM connectors are known to crack cartridges over time from the stress of inserting and removing them. A slightly looser fit means less wear on both the pins and your game edges. Plus, those Game Genie things are notoriously finicky anyway - half the time they kill the contact pressure and cause glitches even in a perfect slot. The real problem is people obsessing over a tight fit when the electrical connection is what matters. Most of the time, a bit of wiggle is fine as long as the pins still make contact. And honestly, if you managed to free a stuck Game Genie without snapping the plastic or bending a pin, that's a win. Probably saved yourself a future headache where that thing fused to your cart slot forever.
