Heard a guy at the swap meet say old IBM boards are built better than anything new

I was at the local electronics swap meet last Saturday and this older dude was going on about how his Model M from 1987 still works perfect with zero issues. Made me wonder if I should save up for a vintage board instead of dropping cash on a modern mechanical. Anyone else find that old stuff really holds up better over time?

Do I need a vintage keyboard to make up for my life being held together with duct tape and stubbornness? My current one's great but it only cost me like thirty bucks so I'm not losing sleep over it.

Wait, your life isn't held together with duct tape and stubbornness? That's just called being an adult in my book. I've got a $25 keyboard from some off-brand that's been going strong for five years now, survived two coffee spills and a cat that thinks it's a bed. Still clicks fine, still types fine, and it's not like my words get fancier with a vintage one. If it works and costs less than a pizza delivery, you're winning.
