Hit the 500 tape mark in my collection this weekend

I was just reorganizing my shelves on Sunday and decided to count everything up. Turns out I have exactly 507 VHS tapes now. I started collecting about 3 years ago from thrift stores around Portland. The wild thing is I never planned to hit a round number like that. Most of them are random horror and sci-fi movies from the 80s and 90s. I even found a sealed copy of The Beastmaster for a dollar at a Goodwill last month. Does anyone else keep a running count of their tapes or do you just eyeball it?

and here i am barely able to keep track of which takeout containers in my fridge are from last week versus last month lmao. 507 tapes is seriously impressive though, especially finding a sealed Beastmaster for a dollar. i legit just stack my tapes in random piles and hope i don't accidentally rebuy The Terminator for the fourth time.
