Rant: Bought a 'tested working' iPhone 8 from eBay that died in 3 days
I grabbed this iPhone 8 off eBay last Tuesday for $115 because the listing said it was tested and fully working. Well, it booted up fine and I used it for a couple days, then on Friday the screen just went black and never turned back on. I tried holding the power and home buttons, plugging it into my laptop, even a different charger - nothing. The seller is ghosting me now and eBay's return window is a pain to deal with. Has anyone else had luck getting a refund on a dead phone from eBay, or am I stuck with this paperweight?

Yeah but did you check the seller's feedback before you bought it? Like not just the number rating but actually read the negative reviews. That's usually where you find the patterns of people getting burned on dead phones. I've had some luck opening a case with eBay directly, not through the seller, but you gotta do it within 30 days and they make you jump through hoops with proof of the phone not working. What exactly did the listing say about returns or any warranty, because if it said no returns you might be stuck trying to fight it through PayPal or your credit card instead.
