Found a Surface Pro 3 at a pawn shop last Tuesday for $45

It had a cracked screen but powered on fine, so I grabbed it on a whim... I put a $12 replacement digitizer on it from Amazon and now it works perfectly for reading comics in bed. Anyone else ever luck into a cheap fixer-upper that turned out better than expected?

Not gonna lie, I've had way more luck just saving up for something that's already working. @henderson.mila that "gamble" part is key, seems like you got super lucky with just a digitizer issue. Could've easily been a logic board problem or something that'd cost more to fix than the whole thing is worth.
