Found a junk shop clock and now I'm hooked on fixing them
I was in this dusty old shop in Portland last month and saw a 1960s Westclox alarm clock for $8. The hands were stuck and the cord was frayed but something made me buy it. After watching 3 YouTube videos I got it ticking again and it felt better than any video game win I've had in years. Anyone else start with one broken thing and accidentally fall into a whole new rabbit hole?

Jumped in headfirst last year when I bought a busted 70s turntable at a garage sale for $10. Spent a whole weekend cleaning pots and replacing a belt, and now my spare room looks like a repair shop threw up in it. It's such a rush bringing old junk back to life, right?

Wait, you fixed it in just one weekend? @taylor.phoenix that's wild, I'd still be staring at the schematic three days later.
