My mapping blunder led to an unexpected clue.

I was trying to map out a suspect's said route from an old case file. Got the streets mixed up and wound up at a bakery instead of the crime scene, but the baker recalled the day due to a huge cake order. Ever have a silly mistake point you toward new info?

That's the worst and best feeling all at once, like totally messing up but then it pays off. I've definitely had times where I typed a name wrong in a search and found a totally different person who actually connected the dots. Makes you wonder how many clues we miss by being too perfect. Your cake story is a perfect example of a lucky break. Sometimes you just have to laugh when the wrong turn is the right one.

Last Tuesday I was trying to find a friend's place and took a wrong turn into a dead-end street... ended up noticing a bunch of construction that explained why the traffic patterns changed recently. It's funny how being lost can make you see things you'd normally miss.

Funny how life works that way. Seems like half the time you find something important it's when you weren't even looking for it. Kinda makes you wonder if being too focused on one path just makes you blind to everything else around you.
