My hotel stay last month changed how I fold bath sheets forever

I was at a Hilton in Denver for a conference and noticed the towels in my room were folded into perfect little triangles that stacked like puzzle pieces. Watched the housekeeper for a second and she showed me this trick where you fold the towel in thirds lengthwise, then fold one end at a 45 degree angle and roll it up. It takes like 30 seconds more per towel but now my linen closet actually closes without wrestling the door shut. Anyone else picked up a folding trick from a random encounter like that?

Totally, yes. Picked up a similar trick at a friend's Airbnb where the host left a note with a diagram for folding fitted sheets so they don't end up a crumpled ball. Changed my whole laundry game. Now I fold them into a tidy rectangle that actually stacks with the flat sheets. Takes maybe an extra minute per sheet but it's worth it to not have that lumpy mess anymore. Had to watch a YouTube video after that to really get the hang of it. Folding things neatly is honestly kind of satisfying once you get the steps down.

Wait, you fold them into a rectangle? I've been trying to do that but mine always ends up like a weird potato shape no matter what I do. Maybe my YouTube tutorial was the wrong one.

@paul233 the potato shape is truly the universal struggle lol. Youtube tutorials are hit or miss, i swear half of them overcomplicate it.
