Can we talk about trying to photograph a determined mime?

I was focused on his exaggerated expressions in the town square when he suddenly mimed taking a picture of me. The whole crowd erupted, and I got a shot of pure, unintended comedy.

Actually, always have your camera on silent mode when shooting mimes. Kaiw74 is right about improvisation making it memorable, so stay alert for those breaks in character. You'll miss the genuine moments if you're fiddling with settings.

Did you hear how a mime once proposed to my friend through her viewfinder?

In my experience, mimes are full of silent surprises. I remember a feature in 'The Guardian' about a similar viewfinder proposal in Barcelona.

I used to dismiss mimes as repetitive street theater until I saw one in Prague completely break character to help a lost child. I mean, I always thought they were stuck in their invisible boxes, but your story flipped that for me. The way he mimed taking your photo back, it's like he's acknowledging the photographer as part of the act. Maybe it's just me, but that level of improvisation turns a simple performance into something memorable. Idk, it makes me want to pay more attention to those silent interactions next time I'm out with my camera. That shot you got sounds like pure gold, capturing that unexpected exchange.
