Spent 4 hours moving my mic stand 3 inches at a time to kill a low-end rumble

Turns out the issue was my desk resonating at 62Hz and I finally fixed it by wedging a rolled-up towel between the legs and the wall, has anyone else had a weird resonance that took forever to track down?

Lost it at "yoga mat under the amp and then a small rug under that" like you're building a vibration lasagna.

Man that towel trick is genius actually. I had a similar thing with my guitar amp shaking the whole floor once, turned out the carpet was just thin enough that the vibrations were coupling straight into the subfloor. Ended up having to put a yoga mat under the amp and then a small rug under that to break the contact, drove me crazy for like two weeks of tracking. Definitely makes you realize how much of audio is just physics and patience.
