Hit 100 subs on my bedroom podcast after 8 months of zero traction
So I started a podcast about fixing up old motorcycles back in February from my spare room. First 8 months I had like 12 subscribers mostly my mom. Then last week I hit 100 and honestly I'm torn on whether that number even matters for growth. Some people say 100 subs is just a vanity metric and you need thousands before sponsors care. But for me it felt huge because it meant strangers actually listened to my rambling about carburetors for 45 minutes. Has anyone else hit a weird milestone like this and felt totally split on whether it was a big deal or not?

100 subs is real when it's not your mom.

8 months of zero traction" hits way too close to home, I had 9 months where my "urban gardening" podcast was basically just me talking to my tomato plants. 100 subs does feel weirdly huge though, like congrats strangers found you interesting enough to hit a button and not just scroll past.
