Duct tape vs. super glue for fixing my lawn flamingo's cracked leg

So my cheap plastic flamingo broke during a storm last week and I had to decide between duct tape and super glue. I went with super glue since it's clear and didn't want visible tape all over it. It held for about two days then snapped again when the wind picked up. Ended up using duct tape anyway and it looks awful but at least it's standing. Anyone else have a lawn decoration repair fail story?

Two days seems pretty good for super glue on cheap plastic honestly. The stuff is brittle and doesn't flex at all, so wind is gonna snap it again every time. Duct tape might look rough but at least it bends with the flamingo instead of fighting it.

OH MAN, SAME EXACT THING happened to my cheapo garden gnome! I tried super glue first too because I thought it'd be invisible but it just crumbled the plastic around the break and made it WORSE. Then I wrapped it in duct tape and now it looks like a mummy holding a fishing pole. The tape is starting to peel in the sun and I keep finding little sticky bits stuck to my grass. Honestly at this point I'm half tempted to just let him be a one-legged gnome and call it "art.
