Caught my neighbor going through my recycling bin for my junk mail

Last Tuesday I spotted him at 5 AM, flashlight in hand, sorting through my papers. Now I'm weirdly proud someone thinks my trash collection is valuable enough to steal. Has anyone else had a secret admirer of their castoffs?

Man, that's a weird mix of creepy and kind of flattering honestly. Real sorry you have to deal with that early morning nonsense though.

Agree completely. I had a similar thing happen with my neighbor taking my empty beer bottles from my recycling. At first I was weirded out but then I realized he was probably returning them for the deposit. Now I just leave them in a separate bag on top. Also had someone grab my old magazines before the truck came once. They were just cooking magazines but still, I felt like someone thought my taste in recipes was solid enough to snatch. Makes you wonder what else people are digging through out there.
