Finally got my favorite booth back after 11 months of the same guy camping there

So there's this diner near my work in Tacoma that I hit up every Friday. For like 11 months, this one older guy would sit in the corner booth with his newspaper and a single cup of coffee for HOURS. Staff never asked him to leave, and the hostess always gave him first dibs. Last week he finally stopped coming in and I snagged the spot. I know it's petty but that corner booth is the only one with a decent view of the TV AND enough light to read. Anyone else have a particular table or seat they obsess over getting?
