Watched Die Hard 15 times before I caught the Hans Gruber fake watch detail

I always thought the scene where he checks his watch was just tension building, but last week my buddy paused it and pointed out he's faking a time check to throw McClane off. Has anyone else missed a key moment in a movie they've seen a million times?

The first time I watched The Sixth Sense I totally missed the red color clue. Noticed it on like the 10th viewing. That whole movie is full of stuff you only catch later. Die Hard is the same way. The fake watch thing is such a small detail but it changes how you see Hans. I love movies that reward you for watching them over and over. Makes you feel like you discovered a secret.
