Told my pal his dice jail was silly... until I had a d20 that rolled 4 ones in a row

I kept making fun of my buddy for having a little cardboard box labeled 'dice jail' for his bad rollers. Then last session my trusty blue d20 rolled four natural ones during a boss fight and I threw it across the room. Has anyone else had a dice that just turned on you out of nowhere?

Had to freeze mine in a bag of rice for a week, worked like a charm.

Oh come on, are we really acting like dice have moods now? I get it's frustrating but it's literally random plastic. People treat their bad rollers like they cursed them or something. A "dice jail" is just superstition with extra steps. I bet if you rolled that same d20 ten more times it'd average out fine.
