The time a new player rolled three 1s in a row and refused to re-roll
I was running a game at my local shop last month and a new guy joined, he rolled three critical failures on his first three attacks in a combat. Instead of getting upset, he announced his character tripped and knocked over a bookshelf that landed on the boss, which actually gave us an opening. Has anyone else had a player turn a terrible streak into something that made the whole table cheer?

Winning by tripping and knocking a bookshelf onto the boss seems like a stretch. Honestly, if a new player can just narrate their way into a win like that, what's the point of actually rolling dice?

Ha, my dice rolls usually end with me tripping over a bookshelf anyway.
