Noticed my dice rolls got worse after switching tables at our FLGS

I used to roll at the old oak table in the corner and hit decent numbers, but after we moved to the plastic fold-out table near the window last month, I've been crit-failing way more. I think the new table's surface is way harder and bouncier, so dice skitter instead of settling naturally. Has anyone else had their luck change just from swapping where they sit? It feels almost superstitious but the stats are brutal.

Oh, come on, you're really blaming a plastic table for your bad rolls? I've been rolling on those same wobbly fold-out tables at the back of my store for years and I swear I roll better there than anywhere else. The hard surface actually makes the dice tumble more random, not less. You're probably just subconsciously throwing different because you're annoyed at the new setup. Plus the sun heating up the table would make the plastic softer, not harder, so your dice would bounce even less if anything. Maybe your "lucky" oak table was actually warped or had a slight tilt to it that was funneling your dice into good numbers.

Whoa, hold on, that's actually super real. The bounce on those plastic fold-out tables is insane, it's like throwing dice on a trampoline. I swear the harder surface makes them spin more before they stop, so you get way less of that nice "settle into a groove" roll. Plus being by the window, the sun heating up the plastic could be making the dice expand or something, even if it's tiny. Yeah, totally not superstitious, that's just physics messing with your luck.
