Chose to throw a torch instead of shooting my crossbow last night, the goblin shaman caught it and threw it back

Our whole plan went sideways because I picked the option with more dramatic flair and ended up setting the rogue's cloak on fire, but the shaman rolling a 1 to put himself out turned that chaos into our win - has anyone else had a bad choice saved by an even worse enemy roll?

Hate to be THAT guy but torches don't really explode or burst into flame when caught, they kind of just stay lit. Still sounds like a WAY more fun story than just shooting a crossbow though.
