Maybe it's just me but I began ending my workday with a closing ritual

I mean, I used to just shut my laptop and immediately switch to personal stuff, which left me feeling kinda scattered. So now, I spend 10 minutes reviewing what I did and planning for tomorrow, and idk, it really helps my brain switch off. My sleep has improved because I'm not ruminating on unfinished tasks, and I start the next day with clear priorities. Maybe it's a small thing, but it made a huge difference in separating work from home life when your office is your living room.

Totally get this, started doing the same thing after my shifts. I'll wipe down my gear, check the truck inventory, and just sit for five minutes running through what we handled and what's on for tomorrow. Makes the drive home feel like an actual transition instead of just carrying the station with me, idk how I functioned without it.

Hearing you describe that routine, @gray_webb50, makes me cringe at my old habit of just tossing my gear in the trunk and speeding off... I'd show up home still mentally inventorying oxygen tanks instead of actually being present... Took me years to realize that without those five minutes of silence, I was basically just commuting from one stress zone to another... Your method of wiping down and reviewing sounds so simple but it's genius... wish I'd figured it out before my coffee cup collection from forgotten shifts took over my kitchen.

Ever catch yourself adding tasks during review?
