Cooking podcasts that skip the basics are a total waste of time

I listened to a show all about fancy restaurant techniques. It never tells you how to actually cook a simple meal at home. What podcasts do you trust for real kitchen advice?

Honestly, try the old "Home Cooking" podcast. It really started from zero, which actually helps you understand why recipes work. That basic how-and-why is weirdly hard to find now.

Seriously, I tried one that was all about fancy butchering skills but never explained how to pick a good steak at the store. The Splendid Table old episodes were way better, they really show you each step and why it matters. That stuff sticks with you.

Come on, is it really that bad if a podcast skips the grocery store part? You can just look that up.
