Switched from my car to a folding chair near the fence last week

I used to just sit in my parked car watching landings, but after three hours my back was done. The chair gets me way closer to the action and I can hear the engines better. Anyone else ditch their car for a spot along the perimeter?

'Coffee doesn't get cold' convinced me to try a thermos and now I'm never going back.

Car is way better for spotting because you stay dry if it drizzles and your coffee doesn't get cold in five minutes. Folding chair near the fence puts you right in the noise and wind, which gets old fast when you're there for hours. Plus the fence blocks half your view of the runway if you're not standing up anyway.
