Just realized I hit 500 landings logged this month and that's wild to me
I was bored last night and decided to count up all my landing videos from November at LAX. Turned out I caught exactly 503 landings, which is way more than I thought lol. Most of them were 737s and A320s from the In-N-Out spot, but I got a few rare cargo birds too. Has anyone else ever bothered to count how many they've tracked in a month?

Stop counting them like that's some kind of achievement. 503 landings in a month at LAX is literally nothing when you think about how many planes actually come through there daily. You're basically just saying you spent a ton of time sitting at In-N-Out staring at the sky. If you actually cared about tracking real volume, you'd be counting how many you missed, not how many you got. The fact that you had to tally up videos from your phone just proves you weren't even watching most of them live.

Man, 503 landings in a month is actually a solid number in my experience. I did something similar back in July at the Victorville boneyard and only managed like 180, but that was mostly C-130s and old FedEx 727s that barely move. I get what that other person is saying about volume, but sitting at In-N-Out for hours on end takes real patience, especially with how hot the tarmac gets down there. Counting videos from your phone is the only way to keep it straight, I'd have to do the same thing. Sounds like you had a good month, take it with a grain of salt but that's cool to me.
