Sorting silverware in the dishwasher basket used to take forever until I just stopped caring

My husband still tries to sort everything perfectly and it drives me crazy. I just toss spoons and forks in however they land now, it makes zero difference in how clean they get. He gets all worked up about the silverware nesting together but I've tested it and they all come out the same anyway. The only thing I do separate is sharp knives because I don't want to stab myself grabbing a handful. Life is too short to play silverware Tetris every single night.

Knives aside, I'd say there's bigger hills to die on than utensil placement.
