That old lady at the grocery store taught me something about checkout lines
I was in line at the Piggly Wiggly last Tuesday, already annoyed because the self checkout was down again. This woman in front of me must have been 80 and she had a cart full of stuff, but she was just chatting with the cashier like time didn't exist. She turned to me and said sorry, but then she just kept going about her grandkids. It stuck with me because I realized I'm always in a rush and she wasn't, and I'm not sure which one of us is happier. Has anyone else had a moment like that where a slow stranger made you rethink your whole vibe?

Dude I literally had a similar thing happen at Walmart last month and it made me feel like a gremlin. I was tapping my foot waiting for this older guy to count out exact change in pennies and I almost lost my mind. Then I caught myself and realized I was stressing over nothing while this dude was just living his best life not caring about the clock. I'm pretty sure he was happier than me with my anxiety over a 2 minute wait.
