My dog's trainer tested my DIY treat pouch and it was a total fail
I made this cool treat pouch from an old jeans pocket for walks, but my trainer saw it and laughed. She said the open top lets treats fall out when my dog bumps into me. I had to add a velcro flap after losing half a bag of Zuke's mini naturals on a 20-minute walk around Golden Gate Park. Anyone else get called out by a pro for a silly mistake?

Oh man, did you at least give her a dirty look? That open top thing is such a rookie trap - I learned it myself when my golden retriever plowed into my leg and launched turkey treats all over a muddy trail. Velcro is a lifesaver but have you tried adding a little fabric tube inside that cinches closed? I sewed a cord lock from an old hoodie onto mine and now it stays tight even when my dog does his happy dance for bacon bites.

You know, I actually used to think the whole cinch thing was overkill. Like, just a good quality velcro pouch should do the job, right? But reading how you rigged that cord lock from an old hoodie totally flips my thinking. That's such a simple, smart fix for something that drives me nuts on the trail. I'm gonna have to try that with my own pouch, the velcro always seems to catch pine needles anyway. You ever have trouble with the cord lock sliding loose, or does it stay put pretty good?
