Tried a wizard costume on my corgi with a dollar store wand and beard, best photo I ever got
Honestly I spent like 20 bucks on a proper dog costume last Halloween and it was a floppy mess. Then last week I grabbed a fake grey beard and a plastic wand from the dollar store for 3 bucks total. I trimmed the beard to fit my corgi's snout and taped the wand to his collar. He stood there like a grumpy old wizard and the photo is hilarious. Anybody else have luck with cheap DIY costumes over store bought ones?

Idk, maybe it's just me but don't you worry the tape will mess up his fur?

Yeah, I actually think that's a real problem they're just ignoring. The adhesive on those tapes can be pretty harsh, especially if it's left on for hours. Even the "pet safe" stuff can pull hair out if you're not careful. I've seen some rescue groups use paper tape or medical tape instead, but it still makes me nervous watching them slap it on his back like that. Just feels like they're prioritizing the shot over the dog's comfort a little too much.
