My new trick for backing into tight spots after a bad experience at the grocery store
I used to just pull forward into any parking spot I could find, even if it meant squeezing between two big trucks. But after I got boxed in at a Kroger last month and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to leave, I started backing in every time. Now I reverse into the spot so I can drive out forward when I leave, especially in crowded lots. Does anyone else do the back-in thing or am I just overthinking this?

Started backing in after getting stuck too, works way better.

Well, I'm not so sure it's a big deal honestly @jade3. I've been parking forward for years and never had a problem getting out. Maybe it depends on where you live or how tight the spots are. Around here, people park every which way and somehow manage fine. I think sometimes folks overthink these things when a simple method works just as well. But hey, if it helps you avoid getting stuck, more power to you.
