Pro tip: Stop calling every vintage watch with a scratched crystal "patina"

I saw a guy on eBay last week trying to sell a 1970s Timex with a busted dial and a fogged up case back for $200 because of the "naturally aged look." Patina is the oxidized dots on a dial from moisture, not a cracked crystal or a missing crown, right?

Exactly, a cloudy case back is just poor storage not charm.

Wait, you're telling me people actually store watches in a way that makes the case back go cloudy? @park.iris I thought that was just something that happened after decades of wear and tear, not from bad storage.
