Hit 500 rubber stamps in my collection last week, never expected that

Honestly, I started collecting rubber stamps from garage sales about 3 years ago. Last week I actually counted them for the first time and hit exactly 500. That blew my mind because I just grab random ones for a dollar or two and never thought it would add up. Most of them are those old craft store brand ones from the 90s with random animals and flowers. The milestone made me realize I need to actually organize them better before I hit 1,000. Has anyone else here let their hobby stockpile surprise them with a random count?

Gotta admit I used to think collecting random stuff like that was kinda pointless but seeing someone hit 500 stamps without even trying kinda changes my mind. Sounds like a cool way to just grab little pieces of nostalgia for cheap.

Little pieces of nostalgia for cheap" is dangerously close to describing my collection of half-filled gas station coffee punch cards. 500 stamps is impressive though. I guess that's one way to accidentally document your life without having to write in a journal or remember anything. Now I'm wondering if my pile of old pizza delivery receipts counts as a collection if I just call it "archival food nostalgia.
